UK Couple Regrets Selling House For Surgery To Get 'Perfect' Bodies

A couple from Manchester, Zara Edgar, 36, and her husband Igel, 39 have grabbed the headlines after they decided to undergo surgery to attain perfect physical features. As per a report published in the Mirror, they came across a deal with a clinic on Instagram and then booked their surgery. They then flew to Turkey where Zara spent thousands of pounds in search of the ‘perfect’ tummy, breasts, hip region and teeth.

On the other hand, her husband underwent surgery on his teeth during the ill-fated makeover in 2022. The duo, however, are not happy with the results as Zara feels that there is a metal-like object in her stomach which has left them wracked with worry and regret.

Zara said, “Just accept yourself the way you are. I wish I had. I regret this so much. I feel so upset about it. I wanted to feel good in my bikini.” The couple is now living on the West Indian island of Grenada as they had sold their home to afford the expenses for their surgery. Zara used to work as a bank clerk while Igel is a construction worker.

The couple said that the deal included the surgery and hotel stays for 11 nights. Zara’s £6,000 (Rs 6,35,876) surgery was done on the first day, and her £4,500 (Rs 4,76,907) dental work four days later. Construction worker Igel’s dental work – implants and veneers – also cost £4,500 and they spent another £1,000 (Rs 1,05,983) on food during their stay.

Zara reminisced about how Igel, her husband had told her before the surgery that she looked lovely. Zara repents that she should have believed him. She now feels extremely unhappy with the outcomes of the operation. She now has a piece of advice for everyone.

She advised people to not trust Instagram as a platform for finding surgery options because everything looks good here. According to her, it is much better to take care of your body than go for the cheaper options. Zara, however, has no complaints about her breast enlargement and says her teeth are bearable. She is not happy about the changes in her stomach region which is still painful and her bottom area as well which isn’t the size she wanted to be.
