'No Problem Can Be solved On Battlefield...': PM Modi On Ongoing Russia-Ukraine Conflict In Poland
Prime Minister Modi is currently on an official visit to Poland. Following this, he is scheduled to travel to Kyiv in Ukraine, on August 23 for high-level meetings

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday expressed gratitude to Poland for its assistance in rescuing stranded Indian students during the Ukraine-Russian war in 2022.

“I want to thank the government and the people of Poland for this. People of India can never forget the help you have extended in rescuing Indian students during the Ukraine conflict in 2022,” PM Modi said in his address.

The Prime Minister also extended thanks to his Polish counterpart Donald Tusk for the warm welcome.

“I want to thank PM Tusk for giving me a warm welcome in the beautiful city of Warsaw. You have been a friend of India for a long time and you have a huge contribution to enhancing the relationship between India and Poland,” he added.

On the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and West Asia, PM Modi said it is “a matter of deep concern for all of us.”

“India firmly believes that no problem can be solved on the battlefield. The loss of innocent lives in any crisis has become the biggest challenge for the entire humanity. We support dialogue and diplomacy for the early restoration of peace and stability,” he added.

Prime Minister Modi, who arrived in Poland on Wednesday, is currently on an official visit to the country. Following this, he is scheduled to travel to Kyiv in Ukraine, on August 23 for high-level meetings.

PM Modi visit to Poland is the first trip by an Indian Prime Minister to the country in the past 45 years. His visit also marks 70 years of official bilateral relations between New Delhi and Warsaw.
