Former US president Donald Trump accused his White House rival Kamala Harris of doing little to keep US ally Israel intact, saying Tuesday that under a Harris presidency, Israel would be “gone.”
During the fiery debate on Tuesday, key policy differences between the two candidates were starkly evident, particularly regarding their stances on the Gaza war, Ukraine, and US trade.
“She hates Israel. If she’s president, I believe that Israel will not exist within two years from now,” Trump said during the presidential debate. “Israel will be gone.” The Democratic vice president shot back that Trump’s accusation of her hating Israel was “absolutely not true,” and that she has supported that country throughout her life and career.
Putin endorsed Kamala Harris because she’s weak. The war in Ukraine would’ve never happened if Trump was President.

Ukraine War
The US Vice President Kamala has yet to outline how her approach to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine will diverge from President Joe Biden’s policies. Harris has consistently supported Biden’s strategy of rebuilding global alliances, particularly NATO, which plays a crucial role in countering Russian aggression.
The Biden administration has provided significant support to Ukraine, including tens of billions of dollars in military and humanitarian aid. Recently, the administration allocated $61 billion in weapons and other assistance, which is expected to sustain Ukraine’s defense through the end of the year.
In contrast, Trump has been a vocal critic of U.S. aid to Ukraine. He has promised to “fundamentally reevaluate” the mission and purpose of NATO if he returns to office. Trump has claimed, without providing detailed plans, that he could quickly end the war by negotiating a settlement where Ukraine concedes some of its territory.
Trump has slammed NATO member countries for not meeting their military spending commitments and has suggested that he would not defend nations that fail to meet these targets. He has even indicated he might encourage Russia to act aggressively against countries he deems “delinquent.”
Trade Policies
On trade, Harris has largely continued the policies of the Biden administration, which includes maintaining and expanding tariffs on China. The administration has imposed increased tariffs on products like electric vehicles, steel, and aluminum while also restricting exports of advanced computer chips to China.
Trump, on the other hand, advocates for a dramatic increase in tariffs on foreign goods, proposing rates of 10% to 20% on imports, with potential tariffs as high as 100% on Chinese goods. He argues that these tariffs would fund tax cuts and reduce the deficit but acknowledges that they could raise consumer prices. Trump also aims to restrict Chinese ownership of U.S. infrastructure and phase out imports of essential goods from China.
