The latest episode of Monday Night RAW showcased the repercussions of the Elimination Chamber Pay Per View that took place this past weekend.
The February 26 episode of WWE RAW, which took place at the SAP Center in San Jose, California, kicked off with Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley facing each other.
As Dominik attempted to introduce the current Women’s World Champion, Rhea was greeted with jeers. Then Becky Lynch entered the ring. Becky Lynch won the women’s Elimination Chamber match and will next face Rhea for the title at WrestleMania XL.
While they were fighting verbally, Nia Jax—who was unable to unseat Rhea as champion at the Elimination Chamber, interjected and defeated Lynch.
Sami Zayn vs Shinsuke Nakamura
On Monday night, a desperate Sami Zayn reversed the odds and defeated Shinsuke Nakamura by fending off an opponent who might have shattered his ribs with an aggressive blow. Zayn grasped at his ribs repeatedly, as if he had injured them early after landing on his moonsault. Although it decelerated him, he remained unfazed as he flung himself across the ring with a Helluva Kick to The Artist’s skull, followed by another for the exhausting win.
Raquel Rodriguez vs Chelsea Green
Raquel Rodriguez had different ideas than Chelsea Green, who might have wanted to exact retribution for losing to her in the Last Chance Battle Royal a week prior. With the Tejada Bomb, the former women’s tag champion decisively defeated Green, dominating the bout.
New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) vs Imperium (Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci)
In a vicious, violent Street Fight on this week’s episode of RAW, the fierce rivalry between Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston of The New Day and Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci of Imperium penned its next chapter. It appeared as though Kingston and Woods would win the battle and get revenge on Kaiser and Vinci for the months of suffering. That proved untrue as Vinci, who was on guard, pushed Kingston off the top rope and through a table. Kaiser then sent Woods into a steel chair and won via pinfall.
Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae vs Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark
Asuka and Kairi Sane of Damage CTRL are currently holding the Women’s Tag Team Championships, but Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler moved one step closer to contending for that title when they defeated Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae in a match that was essentially a long squash. There was little competition throughout the bout.
Liv Morgan vs Nia Jax
Liv Morgan and Nia Jax each looked to recover from a bad night in the Elimination Chamber. Looking like the unstoppable force that she has been since returning to the WWE, Jax dominated. Determined not to let that one play end her night, Morgan persisted in the match and did just enough to stay in it. Becky Lynch unexpectedly attacked Jax as the action spilled onto the floor, exacting revenge for the prior assault on her during the match. Jax ultimately prevailed through disqualification.
Cody Rhodes vs Grayson Waller
Cody Rhodes defeated Grayson Waller very quickly on Monday night, extending his historic run to WrestleMania 40. The American Nightmare succeeded in doing so, even overcoming Austin Theory’s meddling to defeat Waller with a Cody Cutter and Cross Rhodes. Following the game, Paul Heyman made an appearance with two suspended NYPD policemen by his side, attempting to intimidate Rhodes into retracting his challenge to The Rock. Refusing, Cody baffled the trio with a steel chair before declaring that he is one hunting The Bloodline and not the other way round.
