Hyundai India is all set to roll out its the Grand i10-based sub-4m sedan, the Xcent, on Wednesday. Bookings will start right after the launch. The Xcent is modelled on the same lines as the Dzire and Amaze- sub 4m class sedans.
It has the same face as the Grand i10 and there is chrome finish on the air dam. The side profile shows a kink at the lower part. The boot in the meanwhile is a stubby unit and has differently styled tail lamps than the Grand.
Inside the cabin, the materials used are exactly the same as in the Grand i10 except that there is a climate control system in place of the manual AC.
Hyundai has also added a rear air blower, something which is unique to sedans of this class. The boot space is also claimed to be more than the others in this segment.
The Hyundai Xcent in India will come with a choice of petrol and diesel engines. The petrol is a 83PS engine which will come mated to a 5-speed manual and 4-speed auto transmissions.
