It is India vs. Pakistan World Cup match today and the cricket fever is in the air, quite literally. In a video doing rounds on social media, fans en route to Ahmedabad for the most-anticipated ODI World Cup match at the city’s Narendra Modi Stadium can be seen cheering for Team India.
The video is from an Akasa Air flight en route to Ahmedabad. In a special gesture for fans, rushing to cheer team India during the ‘mother of all matches’ on Saturday, the crew onboard an Akasa Air flight made a special announcement to wish ‘Men in Blue’.
In the video, which was first posted by the airline on its official X account, the Akasa Air crew can also be seen extending a warm welcome to all the cricket fans onboard an Ahmedabad-bound flight on Saturday, most of whom were travelling to the Gujarat city to cheer for the Indian team during its match against Pakistan.

In the video, the cricket fans onboard the flight can be seen sitting in their Tema India jerseys as a crew member made the special announcement.
To keep up with the cricket fever, Akasa Air has also introduced ‘Skyscore’– a feature designed to provide updates on match scores to passengers travelling while the sporting events are underway.
The innovative feature was introduced onboard three flights en route to Ahmedabad.
With this feature, now, passengers travelling during the matches will no longer have to wait for updates on their favourite teams and tournaments.
Meanwhile, India won the toss and chose to bowl first against Pakistan in the most-anticipated ODI World Cup match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad today.
