Knowledge City mine: Anil to Mukesh
The royal battle between the Ambani brothers seems to have reached new heights.

New Delhi: The Ambani brothers seem to be heading towards another row.

Sources say that the Anil Ambani group has told Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Petroleum Ltd's (RPL) employees housed in Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City (DAKC) in Mumbai that they won't be allowed on the campus.

A source in the Anil group said that RPL employees have been asked to vacate the premises but no ‘get out’ notice has been issued.

An RPL source said that their employees were under the threat of being blocked, but some compromise has now been reached and the RPL employees have now been asked to use another gate.

When contacted, an official of the Anil Ambani group said, "We don't comment on speculation and rumours."

Earlier the Ambani brothers fought a bitter battle over the special economic zone (SEZ) in Haryana.

Anil Ambani’s group wrote letter to Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), owned by elder brother Mukesh, objecting to its plan to build a 2,000-MW power plant.

As many as 461 of India's 500 most valuable companies are family-owned and many of them were once under single ownership, but with the break-up of families after the passing of first generation passed away, they are now individual entities.

Among the family feuds in business families the one involving Ambanis is perhaps the biggest.

Mukesh and Anil fought bitterly over the control of Dhirubhai Ambani's empire, after his death in 2002.
