Chef Venkatesh Bhat’s Daughter Survives Escalator Mishap In Chennai

Renowned culinary expert Venkatesh Bhat recently released a video on his social media handle explaining his daughter’s tragic accident at a popular mall in Chennai. The chef stated that her daughter’s shoes got stuck in the escalator of a commercial complex in Velachery. “We are at the Phoenix Marketcity, Velachery, Chennai and an incident took place with my daughter. My daughter’s shoe got stuck in the escalator. Children as well as adults kindly be careful when climbing or even getting off the escalator,” Bhat says in the video. Bhat was with his daughter when the incident happened a few days ago.

Chef Venkatesh Bhatt said that as they climbed the escalator, his daughter’s shoe got stuck and in a matter of seconds she pulled her feet out of it. As a worried dad, he called for help and even looked for the stop button on the escalator but could not find one. He also states that if she (his daughter) had not acted quickly, then her feet and toes would have been injured badly.

Soon after the incident, Chef Venkatesh Bhatt searched for the security team and informed them about it. He then explained the whole episode and the security staff immediately reached the spot to remove the shoe.

Culinary expert Bhat feels relieved that his daughter is safe and nothing serious happened to her. He has warned parents to take care of their children while climbing and getting off the escalator. He also called this incident a ‘serious concern’ that should not be taken lightly. Before he could end the video, Chef Venkatesh Bhatt explained that the reason he was recording and uploading this video was that no one should be harmed.

According to reports, the safety and management team of Phoenix Mall, Chennai have assured Chef Venkatesh Bhatt that they will increase the safety measures and also guaranteed that no such incidents will take place in the future.

Venkatesh Bhat is a hotelier and chef from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He is the chief executive officer (CEO) of The Accord Metropolitan Hotel in Chennai as of 2021. Chef Venkatesh Bhatt is married to Shobitha Venkatesh. The couple has a daughter named Radha Neelanjana Bhat.

In 2014, Chef Venkatesh Bhatt made an appearance on the Tamil cookery show “Samayal Samayal with Venkatesh Bhat.” He cooked 100 of his favourite meals for regular chefs and fans to attempt on the show.
