England ex-cricketer Michael Vaughan’s meet-and-greet session with a ‘good friend’ is making all the right noises on social media. The cricketer is currently in India as the Indian Premier League (IPL) moves to its closing stages. Known for sharing glimpses of his travel, Vaughan ensured that he let his followers know about his recent trip to a barber in Mumbai, Dinajayal, whom he had visited last year during Diwali. Vaughan has shared a selfie with the barber. For his day out, Vaughan picked striped shorts and a T-shirt. “Great to be back for a trim with my good friend Dinajayal…remember if you are in Mumbai visit him… Orminston Road”, Vaughan wrote on X.

Several users have now reacted to the post with one of them claiming that the cricketer’s fondness for roadside trimming is a love saga in itself. “Michael Vaughan and roadside trimming is a never-ending love story”, he wrote.
Another user asked the ex-cricketer to ensure that the barber is paid well for his services. “Bro please pay him good too”, he replied.
In one reply, a netizen suggested that Vaughan knew how to please his critics. “This guy knows how to win back critics”, she said.
“You are a really down-to-earth person”, wrote another fan.
Michael Vaughan visited Mumbai last year during Diwali. The ex-cricketer had work commitments in the country due to the ICC ODI World Cup, held in 2023. The cricketer-turned-analyst ensured that he didn’t let his profession prevent him from exploring the streets of Mumbai. In the past, Vaughan had shared several videos about the city and children playing cricket. Similarly, last year in November, the Englishman found a new friend in Dinajayal – a roadside barber shop owner. Amid the festivities of Diwali, Vaughan decided to get a trim on the auspicious day. He later posted a timelapse video of his trim on X, where he wrote, “Diwali party trim and head massage from my good friend Dinajayal on Ormiston Road in Mumbai”.

Just a day after Diwali, November 13, Michael Vaughan was back at Dinajayal’s ship for a shave. He shared a selfie of himself where the barber can be seen shaving his beard with a smile on his face. “Monday is shaving day on the Orminston Road with my good friend Dinjayal”, he wrote on X.
