India’s premier fast-bowling all-rounder, Hardik Pandya took to social media to reveal his fitness transformation following his freak injury in the ODI World Cup 2023.
The all-rounder from Vadodara was forced to miss out on the ODI World Cup mid-way due to an injury to his ankle during the game against Bangladesh which could be a reason why the Men in Blue were not able to get over the line in the final against Australia.

However, following his spell out of action, it was all about putting in the work physically for the premier all-rounder who played a pivotal role in helping India claim their second T20 World Cup in 2024 at Barbados.
Pandya captioned the post saying, “Was a difficult journey after the freak 2023 WC injury but well worth the effort with the T20 WC win. The results come as long as you put in the effort. Hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. Let’s all try our best and work on our fitness.”

The all-rounder was certainly able to make a roaring comeback as he chipped in with 144 runs and 11 wickets in the T20 World Cup to help them end their long-standing title drought.
Now it is expected that he will be part of the Indian side that will be touring Sri Lanka for the T20I series, according to reports. However, his availability for the 50-over format remains a doubt and the Board of Control for Cricket in India is yet to make an official announcement regarding the squads for the away series that is set to begin later in July.

The upcoming tour will also serve as a first for Gautam Gambhir who will be India’s new Head Coach taking over the role from Rahul Dravid. He will look to bring forth his vision into the newfound Indian side and hope to take it to even bigger heights than he did with KKR and Pandya could play a big role in that.
