MI opener Rohit Sharma scaled yet another milestone in his T20 career as he breached the 500 mark for the number of sixers scored in the shortest format of the game during the IPL 2024 game between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.

In the match, MI skipper Hardik Pandya opted to put Ruturaj Gaikwad’s CSK to bat first in the highly charged encounter as Chennai opener Ajinkya Rahane fell cheaply for 5 off 8 deliveries. Rachin Ravindra stood by his skipper to put up a 52-run stand before falling prey to Shreyas Gopal.

Tilak Varma accompanied Rohit for a 50-run stand before departing for 31 off 20 as Pathirana claimed a three-wicket haul.
