RR's Head Coach Kumar Sangakkara Furious With Dinesh Karthik's Dismissal Being Reversed by DRS - WATCH
Tensions are clearly on the high considering it is a knockout game. RR's head coach, Kumar Sangakkara was seen livid with the third-umpire's decision to overturn Dinesh Karthik's LBW dismissal.

The DRS review to overturn Dinesh Karthik’s dismissal was certainly one that did not favour the Rajasthan Royals in the eliminator clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Ahmedabad on Wednesday.

RR’s director of cricket and head coach, Kumar Sangakkara was not pleased at the decision and was seen asking to see the fourth umpire to talk about why that decision was made.

The replays had clearly shown that there was a clear gap between bat and pad but the ultra-edge spike meant that the umpire overturned the decision to keep Dinesh Karthik back in the middle.

However, DK’s innings did not go very far. Avesh Khan who had got him on the pads initially, finally got his revenge as he got the wicket of Karthik who scored 11 off 13 balls thanks to a catch by Yashasvi Jaiswal.

RR however, would have walked back after the first innings as the more positive side. They had the momentum with them as they put up a decent bowling performance they did not allow any batter to get a score above 35 runs indicating that they were able to get wickets at regular intervals.

Avesh Khan who did not have a good start with the ball, came good in the death overs as he finished with three wickets. R Ashwin was also decent with the ball as he got the wickets of Cameron Green and Glenn Maxwell in consecutive deliveries to help put RCB under pressure. Rajat Patidar was the top-scorer with the bat with 34 in 22 balls.

RCB eventually set a target of 173 for the Royals as both sides shifted their focus for the second innings which would decide who goes through to face Sunrisers Hyderabad for a spot in the final in Chennai. The Royals will hope that this decision will not eventually decide whether it would have been the call that changed the tides of the game.
