Ahead of their clash with Delhi Capitals. Kolkata Knight Riders stars Andre Russell and Venkatesh Iyer enjoyed a swimming session to cool off before what is expected to be high-voltage encounter.
KKR will be itching to bounce back after a heartbreaking loss at the hands of Punjab Kings at the Eden Gardens last week.
Keeping aside the pressure of the game, Iyer and Russell were seen engaging in a light-hearted swimming competition.
It was Iyer, who seemingly challenged Russell for a race.
The burly allrounder was chilling outside the pool when Iyer challenged him for a one-on-one contest.
In a clip shared by Iyer on Instagram, he could be heard asking the West Indies all-rounder, “Russell, race lagayega kya, [Russell, want to race?].”
Russell quickly accepted the challenge and He immediately dived into the swimming pool for the race.

Iyer, however, had a different plan.
He took his position at the starting point alongside his competitor. The twist came as soon as Russell started the race.
Iyer quickly came out of the pool and rushed to the other side of the pool. Upon reaching the finishing line, Iyer broke into an emphatic celebration.
Russell was taken aback at the turn of events.
At the end of the video, Iyer shared a hug with his KKR teammate.
Iyer was not part of KKR’s last match against PBKS . The last time when he played against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, he chipped in with a 16-run cameo.
Iyer has yet to show consistency in the ongoing season of the IPL. In his eight appearances, the 29-year-old has managed 128 runs which includes one fifty.
Russell, on the other hand, has looked quite good in both the departments.
He has aggregated 179 runs at an excellent strike-rate of 186.46. With the ball, has nine scalps including a three-wicket haul against RCB.
KKR must win the home match against DC to keep the second position in the IPL points table. The Iyer-led side has so far collected 10 points from eight games in the ongoing edition of the IPL.
