The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has recently announced recruitment for many posts, including Assistant Director in various departments. The UPSC has released the notification of this recruitment in the employment newspaper from February 10 to 16.
According to the notification, the last date of application for this post is February 29th. There are a total of 120 vacancies in various ministries and departments, including the Union Ministry of Aviation, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Forestry and Environment.
According to the notification, under this recruitment drive of the UPSC, recruitment will be done for the vacant posts of Assistant Director, Scientist B, Administrative Officer, Scientist, Specialist Cadre, Engineer and Ship Survey-cum-Deputy Director General, Specialist Grade III.

Application fee:
Application is free for women applicants and SC/ST/PWD applicants. Whereas for other category candidates, the application fee is Rs 25.
However, earlier, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) initiated the application process for the recruitment of 69 positions, encompassing specialists and various other roles. Aspiring candidates who met the eligibility criteria were invited to apply online through the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.
There are forty vacancies in the Specialist Grade III category, twenty-eight posts in the Scientist B category and one vacancy for Assistant Director in this recruitment campaign. The registration window was opened on January 27 and the last date to apply is February 15 (up until 11:59 PM) to submit their online recruitment applications.
UPSC RECRUITMENT 2024: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institute.
Age Criteria: Applicants need to be aware of the following age requirements:
1. For persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs): 45 years.
2. For Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs): 40 years
3. For Other Backward Classes (OBCs): 38 years
4. For Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Unreserved (UR) categories: 35 years.
