The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has outlined exam day guidelines for the upcoming Class 10 and 12 board examinations in 2024. In a recent development, the board convened a crucial review meeting with nodal authorities from each district, discussing crucial aspects related to the Bihar board examinations slated for the year 2024.
During this pivotal meeting, the additional chief secretary articulated a series of directives, urging all district education officers to swiftly conclude various infrastructure projects at every examination center throughout the state. This proactive measure is aimed at ensuring optimal conditions before the commencement of the BSEB Intermediate exam on February 1.
As per reports, BSEB chairman Anand Kishore emphasised several imperative guidelines to streamline the examination process:
— Candidates are mandated to enter the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the examination. Stricter measures have been put in place, asserting that candidates arriving late will unequivocally be denied entry to the examination hall.
— Stringent frisking procedures will be implemented at two levels. Upon entry to the test centre, frisking will be conducted at the gate under the vigilance of magistrates and the police force. Subsequently, invigilators will perform another round of frisking inside the examination hall, ensuring a thorough check for any unauthorised materials or electronic devices.
— To uphold the integrity of the examinations, one invigilator will be assigned for every 25 candidates in each class. Adequate numbers of inspectors will also be deployed to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams.
— Invigilators and other examination hall staff are strictly prohibited from carrying additional papers, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, pagers, smart watches, magnetic watches, or electronic watches into the examination centre.
— All examination centres are required to have CCTV cameras installed, and the committee has mandated videography arrangements, ensuring compliance with established standards.
— Nodal officials will conduct surprise inspections of various examination centres within their respective districts. These inspections will be conducted using a comprehensive checklist provided by the committee to monitor adherence to guidelines and swiftly address any issues.
— In a bid to facilitate seamless communication, the committee has instituted a WhatsApp group comprising nodal officers, district education officers, and district officials. This platform will serve as a rapid and efficient means of disseminating information, ensuring the success of the examination process.
