The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) announced the results for the Bihar Police Sub-Inspector Mains Exams 2024 on March 15. Aspirants who appeared for the written examination can now view and download their results directly from the official website, bpssc.bih.nic.in.
The exam was conducted in two shifts on February 25, with the first paper focusing on General Hindi and the second on general studies. Candidates are required to secure a minimum of 30 per cent marks in the General Hindi paper to qualify.
As per the official notice, out of the total 23,957 candidates who appeared for the first paper, 1,448 were absent, and 275 candidates were disqualified due to various reasons, including misconduct. Similarly, for the second paper, out of the 23,948 candidates, 678 were disqualified or declared ineligible.
Out of the 23,204 candidates who achieved the minimum qualifying marks in the second paper, six times the number of available vacancies across different categories have been chosen to proceed to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Candidates selected for PET will receive separate admit cards for the Bihar Police SI PET 2024.

Step 1: Go to the official website of BPSSC at bpssc.bih.nic.in.
Step 2: Navigate to the homepage and click on the link titled, “Results: Mains (Written) Examination conducted for the post of Police Sub-Inspector in Home (Police) Dept, Govt of Bihar.”
Step 3: The Bihar Police SI Mains Result 2024 PDF will be displayed on the screen.
Step 4: Search for your roll number within the document.
Step 5: Download the result and retain a printed copy for future reference.
This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1,275 vacancies for Police sub-inspector positions in the Bihar Police, conducted by the BPSSC. The selection process includes several stages: the preliminary exam, main exam, PET (Physical Efficiency Test), medical exam, and document verification. The preliminary exam acts as a screening test, allowing qualified candidates to progress to the main exam. Following the main examination, candidates undergo PET, medical examination, and document verification. Based on their performance in these stages, a final merit list is compiled. A total of 25,405 candidates have been selected for the preliminary exam.
