IIT Guwahati To Offer Data Analytics And Generative AI Courses

E&ICT Academy, IIT Guwahati in collaboration with Simplilearn have launched new professional certificate programs in Data Analytics and Generative AI. The programms will be available online. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the new certificate programmes through the official website simplilearn.com by July 21.

The course has been designed to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in the field of data analytics and other technologies. The admission fee for the Generative AI for Data Analytics programme at E&ICT Academy, IIT Guwahati is Rs 1,19,900 (inclusive of taxes and all applicable program fees).

Candidates will be exposed to live online classes from industry experts and interactive masterclasses by faculty from IIT Guwahati and IBM specialists, 25+ hands-on projects, IIT Guwahati Campus Immersion, hackathons and ask me-anything sessions organized by IBM. In addition, the programme covers concepts like Excel, SQL, fundamentals of programming, mathematical and statistical computing, data visualization using Tableau, generative AI, prompt engineering and much more. In addition, the candidate will get Executive Alumina Status from E&ICT Academy, IIT Guwahati and access to Simplilearn’s JobAssist service.

Anand Narayanan, Chief Product Officer, of Simplilearn, said that the job market is witnessing a significant increase in the demand for skilled professionals in the fields of data analytics and AI. According to McKinsey, the demand for professionals in these fields is growing at 50 per cent annually, which shows the significant need for skilled talent.

Who Are Eligible?

• Applicants must be a college graduate.
• They must have at least 50 per cent marks on their graduation certificate.
• Previous work experience is not mandatory but is encouraged.
• Applicants without any programming experience or specific technology can also apply.

According to the official statement, the programme is designed to accommodate applicants from diverse educational backgrounds and equip them with skills in data analytics and generative AI.
