In UP’s Mirzapur, Bhagesar Primary School Offers Modern Classroom Facilities
Children in this school are studying in a manner similar to those in English medium schools.

It is almost common knowledge that government schools do not have their best to offer when it comes to facilities and there is a fairly negative perception of government schools in our minds. Stereotypes are meant to be broken and a primary school in a village in Uttar Pradesh is doing a very good job at that. In a school in UP, Bhagesar Primary School, children are studying in a manner similar to those in English medium schools. They are being taught digitally alongside basic facilities, which not only makes learning enjoyable but also helps them grasp concepts more easily through stories.

The primary school in Bhagesar village of Mirzapur district has made remarkable progress, even surpassing English medium schools in terms of quality and innovation. This transformation is the result of a comprehensive redevelopment initiative undertaken by the government. A key figure in this transformation is Principal Ravikant Dwivedi, whose visionary efforts have been instrumental in modernising the school’s educational approach. Under his leadership, the school has integrated smart classrooms, equipped with digital learning tools and resources. These advancements have significantly enhanced the learning experience for students, making it more interactive and engaging.

In these smart classes, children have access to a variety of digital content that supplements traditional teaching methods. This approach not only makes learning more enjoyable but also helps students understand and retain information more effectively. Interactive lessons, educational videos, and digital storytelling are some of the tools used to capture the students’ interest and facilitate a deeper understanding of the subjects.

In Mirzapur district, education will be provided through smart classes in 426 pre-secondary and composite schools, according to a government statement. Children are already studying through smart classes in Bhagesar Primary School. They are being taught through the e-Vidya channel via smart TV. Student Sandhya Gautam said that children are learning Maths, English and Hindi through e-Vidya on TV.

Headmaster Ravikant Dwivedi mentioned that learning has become engaging for children with the introduction of smart TVs, making it easier for them to grasp concepts. He also mentioned that two students from his school have been chosen for Navodaya. His goal is to offer superior education in line with government initiatives aimed at enhancing learning outcomes for children.
