JEE Main 2024 is divided into two stages, with the first taking place in January and the second in April. The Session 1 has attracted over 12 lakh applicants

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 for Papers 2A and 2B, which cover B.Arch and B. Planning in Session 1, was held on January 24. Subsequently, Paper 1 is scheduled for administration from January 27 to February 1, 2024. The JEE Main exam this year is divided into two stages, with the first taking place in January and the second in April. Results for JEE Main Session 1 Paper 1 and 2 are expected to be announced in February, precisely on February 12, 2024, as per the schedule mentioned on the official website.

The answer key’s release date and the process for challenging it will be released at a later date. The Provisional Answer Key will be made available for candidates to contest on the National Testing Agency’s (NTA) website. Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable filing fee of Rs 200 to contest each question. Review of the preliminary answer keys will be possible for a period of two to three days.

Notably, the NTA will only take into account challenges submitted within the allotted timeframe via the primary objection window. The objections raised that lacked appropriate rationale or supporting documentation will be rejected. Following the evaluation of each objection by subject matter experts, a final solution key will be generated.

Furthermore, the JEE Main 2024 Session 2 application window is scheduled to begin on February 2 and end on March 2, 2024.

JEE Main 2024 Session 1 has attracted over 12 lakh registrations, with Maharashtra leading in state-wise registrations with 1.6 lakh candidates, followed by Andhra Pradesh with 1.3 lakh students and Telangana with 1.2 lakh.

This year, applicants for JEE Main 2024 will be frisked and biometrically scanned after taking a toilet break. This extra precaution is put in place to stop unethical tactics or proxy attendance. Candidates are currently screened upon arrival, and biometric attendance is tracked appropriately.

The JEE (Main) 2024 will be conducted in 13 languages, which includes English, Hindi, Urdu. Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, Assamese, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Odia..

The JEE Main exam is divided into two sections: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is administered for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes (BE/BTech) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally backed Technical Institutions, and universities or institutions supported or accredited by participating state governments.
