Jharkhand Board Class 12 Results 2024: Farmer's Son Tops Palamu In Science
Amit Kumar Mehta has secured fourth position in the state and first position in the district by scoring 477 marks.

Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has recently declared the JAC Class 12 Results 2024. Amit Kumar Mehta, a student from Palamu district, has achieved remarkable success in the Inter exam.

He is a student of the Science Faculty of BS Inter College, Patan, Palamu district, and has secured fourth position in the state and first position in the district by scoring 477 marks.

Eighteen-year-old Amit, son of Satendra Mehta, a resident of Nilambar Pitambar Pur block of Palamu district, has topped the district in the Inter examination. During the conversation with Local18, Amit Kumar said that his father is a farmer and his mother Neelam Devi is a housewife.

Despite studying away from home at a relative’s house, Amit maintained a rigorous study schedule of 14 hours a day and achieved this success with a lot of hard work. He expressed his gratitude towards his family, college teachers and relatives for their full support.

He further emphasised the importance of consistency and self-confidence in achieving success and advised the students to approach their studies with dedication and a positive mindset. He said that he used to study 14 hours a day, both in college and at home and complete every homework given in college. “In future, I want to become an IAS officer and want to serve the nation by removing corruption,” he added.

He encourages students to avoid stress, stay motivated, and study consistently, believing that success is attainable through a blend of dedication and enjoyment in learning.

Jharkhand Academic Council also announced the overall pass percentages for each stream. In the Science stream, the pass percentage stands at 72.70 per cent; in the Arts stream, the pass percentage is 93.16 per cent; and in Commerce, the rate stands at 90.60 per cent. If the students are unsatisfied with their results, they can also apply for re-evaluation.

The Jharkhand Intermediate (Class 12) Examination requires students to secure a minimum of 33 out of 100 marks and 23 out of 70 marks respectively to be declared pass.
