The selection for positions in the Specialist Cadre Officer category will be completed in 2 stages, i.e., - shortlisting and interview.

The State Bank of India has released an official notification for the recruitment to the positions of specialist cadre officer including Senior Vice President (IS Auditor). Other positions include Assistant Vice President (IS Auditor), Manager (IS Auditor) and Deputy Manager (IS Auditor). Amongst these positions, recruitment for the vacancies of Senior Vice President and Assistant Vice President will be on a contractual basis. The last date for filing the applications for this recruitment is July 24.

2. Educational qualifications

For the recruitment of the Specialist Cadre Officer of SBI, candidates should have secured an educational degree in the Bachelor of Engineering and the Bachelor of Technology. They should have pursued this degree in Science, Electronics or Electronic Instrumentation branch. Apart from this qualification, the candidates will also require some additional qualifications and work experience, details of which are available in the notification.

3. Age Limit

– Senior Vice President (IS Auditor) – 38 to 50 years

– Assistant Vice President (IS Auditor) – 33 to 45 years

– Manager (IS Auditor)-28 to 40 years

– Deputy Manager (IS Auditor)-25 to 35 years

4. Selection Process

The selection for positions in the Specialist Cadre Officer category will be completed in 2 stages, i.e.- shortlisting and interview (100 marks). For the recruitment in the contractual positions i.e.- Senior VP and Assistant VP, another stage has been included, i.e-salary negotiation.

5. Application Fee

The application fee and the intimation charges (non-refundable) are Rs 750 for the students hailing from the General Category. The charges are the same for the applicants hailing from the Economically Weaker Section and Other Backward Classes. This fee has been waived for the applicants belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities. (PwBD) in the categories of blindness, locomotor disability (both arms affected – BA) and cerebral palsy.

Important points

1. Candidates belonging to the OBC category but coming in the Creamy Layer are not entitled to OBC reservation and age relaxation.

2. If called for an interview, the candidate from the category should produce a certificate issued by a competent authority according to the Government of India Guidelines.
