The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has opened the application correction session for the Stenographer 2024 exam for grade C and D positions today, August 27. Candidates enrolled for the exam can amend their application form on the official website, ssc.gov.in. As per the official notice, candidates can modify their SSC Stenographer applications until August 28.
The official notice stated, “In case, any correction/ change is required to be made in the already filled application form, candidates may utilise the ‘Window for Application Form Correction’ for the same. Request received after expiry of the abovementioned correction window for any change/ correction/ modification in the application form in any mode of communication viz. Post, Fax, E-mail, by hand etc., shall not be entertained by the Commission and will be summarily rejected.” Furthermore, if a mistake is made in the updated application, candidates will be able to submit another modified application after making the appropriate changes.
SSC Stenographer Exam 2024 Application Correction Window: How to Edit?
Step 1 — Visit the official website: ssc.gov.in.
Step 2 — On the homepage, navigate to the Candidate Login tab.
Step 3 — Fill up your login information and submit.
Step 4 — Make necessary changes to the form through the correction window and submit.
Step 5 — Download and print out for future reference.
Candidates must pay a fee of Rs 200 for making changes and resubmitting an amended application for the first time. For the second modification and resubmission, the application fee is Rs 500. These correction charges apply to all candidates, regardless of gender or category. Furthermore, if the correction charges are not received by the SSC, the status of the application form is shown as ‘Incomplete’ and this modified application shall be rejected, and the previously submitted application will remain valid.
The recruitment examination would be computer-based (CBE), followed by a stenography competence test. The CBE will have three sections – general awareness, intelligence and reasoning and English language and comprehension. For every correct answer, the candidate will be awarded 1 mark, with 0.25 being deducted for the erroneous responses. The overall exam duration is two hours, with questions presented in both Hindi and English. The commission plans to fill 2,006 grade C and D vacancies through this recruitment drive. The SSC Stenographer 2024 exam is tentatively planned for October and November.
