Atif’s parents are teachers by profession and his sister is a doctor. Recently, while speaking with Local18, Atif said, “Since childhood, my family had a lot of expectations from me when it comes to scoring good marks in academics. From my childhood days, I made up my mind to prepare for the civil service examination. Hence, after graduation, I started appearing for UPSC in 2017.”
In 2021, Atif prepared for the UPSC exam from RCA, Jamia and cracked the paper with flying colours. Sharing his journey, he took the time to underscore the importance of sheer determination and persistence when preparing for competitive exams. He mentioned how his family was there to support him throughout his journey.
Atif has secured 817 rank in the UPSC exam on his 6th attempt. Hailing from Jharkhand, he shared that after joining the services, he will start by prioritising the welfare of his fellow Jharkhand residents, particularly due to the lack of facilities in his tribal community. Apart from this, he wants to improve the education system.
Sharing his advice, he told students about how clearing such UPSC exams takes time and commitment. He said, “It is important to stay consistent and remain focused. In the initial period, you should invest more time in your studies. After some time, you can reduce your study time to 6-8 hours daily.”
Previously, the application period was scheduled for March 18, 2024, to May 19, 2024. However, the exam has now been postponed to June 19, 2024.
