The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Chennai, will publish the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) rank list 2024 tomorrow, July 10. Candidates who have applied can download the rank list from the official website at tneaonline.org. The specific release time has not been disclosed yet, but based on past trends, it is expected to be in the first half of the day. A DoTE official stated that they will await the official academic schedule announcement from AICTE before proceeding with counselling.

TNEA rank list 2024: Steps to check

STEP 1. Visit the official website of TNEA i.e., tneaonline.org.

STEP 2. You’ll find the rank list link on the homepage.

STEP 3. Fill in the required details.

STEP 4. Your TNEA rank list will be displayed on the screen.

STEP 5. Download it and keep a hard copy for future reference.

According to local reports, DoTE has also decided to proceed with announcing the engineering counselling schedule on July 10. This year, TNEA commenced on May 6, and students were assigned random numbers on June 12.

Candidates are allowed to submit their grievances from July 11 to 20. Counselling for Government (7.5%) Special Reservation categories, General Special Reservation categories and General will be conducted online. The counselling dates will be adjusted according to AICTE’s academic schedule.

The official mentioned that counselling dates are typically announced based on the AICTE academic schedule. However, as of now, there has been no information from AICTE regarding the academic schedule for this year.

The TNEA application process is conducted for admission to BTech courses. Students are offered admission based on their merit in engineering courses following TNEA counselling. According to the TNEA information brochure, a merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. These marks will be scaled down to a total of 200, with Maths contributing 100, Physics 50, and Chemistry 50.
