The UGC NET exam was cancelled at four centres — Dr Ghanshyam Singh College of Education in Varanasi, Shankara Group of Institutions in Jaipur, Amatyas Global IT Solution in Jamnagar, and Jainee College of Engineering and Technology in Dindigul—due to technical issues or flooding. Candidates can download their admit card from the official website of UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

A recent notification has announced that admit cards for the re-examination, scheduled between August 21 and September 4, 2024, have been released. The re-exam will cover 83 subjects across various centres nationwide. Originally held on June 18, 2024, and cancelled on June 19, the rescheduled exam will now take place on September 4, 2024, in Shift II from 3 PM to 6 PM.

Step 1: Visit the official website: ugcnet.nta.ac.in

Step 2: Click on the “UGC NET June 2024 Examination Admit Card” link which will appear on your home screen

Step 3: Enter your login details like application number, date of birth and given security pin

Step 4: Review and download the admit card

Step 5: Take a printout or screenshot of the admit card for future reference

UGC NET June 2024 Examination structure

The UGC NET is a national examination held biannually in online mode, with a total duration of 3 hours. The exam consists of two papers: Paper 1, which is worth 100 marks and includes 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and Paper 2, which is worth 200 marks and includes 100 MCQs. Each correct answer earns candidates 2 marks, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

The entrance exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for the positions of ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian universities and colleges.
