The Uttar Pradesh government headed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is working to improve the facilities in the health sector of the state and overcome the shortage of doctors. To improve these sectors further, walk-in interviews will be organised for the recruitment of 26 MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) doctors for contractual postings in the Jhansi district. They will then be posted in various health centres and hospitals. Interviews will be organised on August 13 to fill the vacant posts of doctors for the office of the Chief Medical Officer.
1. How to apply
To appear in the interview, candidates can submit their application form along with necessary documents to the office of the Chief Medical Officer, Jhansi by August 12.
2. Honorarium and age limit
The approved honorarium for these contractual postings has been fixed from Rs 60,000 to Rs 1,00,000. Candidates for the posts should have an MBBS degree with at least one year of experience and age should be less than 65 years.
3. Postings
Selected MBBS contractual doctors will be appointed at the Community Health Centre, Ayushman Arogya Mandir, District Hospital, Trauma Center Moth and other places. The appointment of these doctors will help in improving the facilities of health centres in the Jhansi district.
Earlier Hirings
In 2021, the Uttar Pradesh government deployed 900 more doctors on contractual posts for a year to strengthen medical care because of the possible third wave of COVID-19. Dr Kalpana Singh, director of general training who also holds charge of director general medical health, talked to Hindustan Times regarding this matter. According to Kalpana,” “We have received applications from 1500 doctors and interviews have begun to select the best ones from among them for our hospitals across the state.”
The officials in the health department had said they plan to finish interviews for candidates by September 1. Thereafter, the appointment letters were issued in the first week of September. A senior health official had said that the selected doctors were given the option to work in their home districts if there are vacancies.
