UPMSP to Conduct Class 12 Practical Exams on March 13, 14 for Absentees
The original exam was held for candidates on February 16, but the state board received reports that students from specific districts were unable to take the exam

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has made an important announcement regarding the Class 12 practical exams held on February 16 this year. Those candidates who missed the initial exams will be granted another opportunity to sit for them. The practical examinations for these remaining candidates are scheduled to take place on March 13 and March 14, 2024.

“The examination for the candidates who missed the Intermediate practical examinations of the year 2024 was conducted on February 16, 2024. According to the information received from some districts, some candidates still could not appear in the practical examination,” the official notice read.

According to the official notice, an exam was held for such candidates on February 16, but the state board received reports that some students in specific districts were still unable to take the exam, so another opportunity is being provided to such students.

Following the schedule, the Uttar Pradesh Board organized practical exams for the academic year 2023-24 in two phases. The initial phase took place from January 25 to February 9. However, in consideration of students who missed their exams, the board has decided to offer them one final opportunity to participate.

The Class 12 practical exams were administered in schools across several districts, such as Agra, Basti, Bareilly, Chitrakoot, Devipatan, Saharanpur, Lucknow, Jhansi, Faizabad, and Azamgarh from January 25 to February 1, this year.

Meanwhile, from February 2 to February 9, 2024, schools in Kanpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Aligarh, Meerut, and Moradabad districts held the intermediate (Class 12) practical exams.

Currently, the UP Board 2024 Class 10 and 12 exams are underway. It commenced on February 22 and will continue until March 9. These examinations are conducted in two shifts: the morning shift from 8:30 am to 11:45 am and the afternoon shift from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.

This year, more than 55 lakh students registered for the UP board examinations, including 29 lakh high school (Class 10) students and 25 lakh intermediate (Class 12) candidates.

The UP Board has also announced that UPMSP will begin evaluating Class 10 and Class 12 answer sheets from March 16 and will conclude in a total of 13 working days (that is March 31), with a Holi break between March 24 and 26.
