Digvijay Singh Rathee made waves on social media during his stint on Sunny Leone’s Splitsvilla X5. After his match, Kashish Kapoor chose to walk away with Rs 10 lakh instead of competing in the finale, fan favourite Digvijay also lost his chance to compete in the final battle. There was buzz that they are in talks for Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 18. While Kashish denied these claims in an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, we have now learnt that Digvijay will also not be a part of the show.
A source close to the development said, “Digvijay is not going to Bigg Boss. He has received a call from the makers of Roadies and is currently in talks with them for a role on the show.” The source added, “It is unclear whether he has been approached to be an insider this season but Digvijay is in touch with the makers and these discussions are currently underway.”
Interestingly, Digvijay’s reality television fame started with his stint on Roadies. News18 Showsha reached out to Digvijay’s representatives. They refrained from commenting on the matter presently but promised an update soon. In an earlier conversation, we asked Digvijay if he planned on going to Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi after Roadies and Splitsvilla.
He said, “Plans are written by God. It was his plan that I get evicted mid-journey on Roadies and then do Splitsvilla. Right now, the plan has worked out well and I’m hoping that it will be great later as well. All I can do is give my best. Working on my social media or my vlogs, that is in my hands and I’m leaving no stone unturned while working on them.”
Meanwhile, Nia Sharma has been confirmed as the first contestant of Bigg Boss 18. Nia recently appeared on the grand finale of Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 where Rohit Shetty announced her as the first contestant on Salman Khan’s show.
As for Salman Khan’s show, Bigg Boss 18 will premiere on October 6. It is speculated that Arjun Bijlani, Karan Veer Mehra, Nyra Banerjee, Dheeraj Dhooper, Shilpa Shirodkar and Shoaib Ibrahim will also be seen on the show. However, there is no confirmation on this yet.
