Granada: Barcelona say forward Pedro Rodriguez will be sidelined for up to two weeks after hurting his ankle in a 1-0 Spanish league win at Granada on Tuesday.

Barcelona say the Spain international will undergo further tests on Wednesday after spraining his left ankle at Los Carmenes stadium in the second half of the match, which was won thanks to Xavi's 33rd minute free-kick.

"The club’s medical services' first examinations revealed that he [Pedro] has not suffered a broken bone, but has damaged the tendons in his left ankle and is expected to be out for between 10 and 16 days," said a statement on the club's official website.

Pedro twisted awkwardly in the 53rd minute and was substituted three minutes later. Pedro could miss league matches against Mallorca and Athletic Bilbao, and against Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League.

The 24-year-old Pedro has scored three goals in 10 appearances for Barcelona, who are unbeaten in all competitions.
