London: Paris Saint-Germain will reportedly confirm Carlo Ancelotti as their new boss on Wednesday afternoon.
According to L'Equipe and Le Parisien, the Italian coach, who has been out of the game since being sacked by Chelsea at the end of last season, has agreed terms on a contract which will net him € 500,000 per month over the next two-and-a-half years, thus making him the highest-earning coach in Ligue 1 history.
Ancelotti will be assuming control of the club from Antoine Kombouare, who has yet to be officially sacked.
PSG are currently top of Ligue 1 but the club's Qatari owners have apparently lost patience with Kombouare following his failure to lead the team into the knockout stages of the Europa League.
It has also been widely reported that the owners have long sought a more high-profile coach and Ancelotti, a two-time Champions League winner with former club AC Milan, appears to be seen to fit that billing.
