Milan: Inter CEO Ernesto Paolillo has hinted that the club are ready to cash in on playmaker Wesley Sneijder, but claims that his side have not received an official offer from Manchester United as of yet.
Goal.com revealed earlier on Thursday that the Serie A giants are willing to negotiate the sale of their Dutch playmaker but are holding out for a straight cash bid of £35 million.
Paolillo told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "I don't think there's anything that can't be sold, it all depends on the price. There are certain opportunities that you simply can't turn down. An offer from Manchester United for Sneijder? We haven't heard or seen anything yet."
The Premier League champions see Sneijder as the perfect replacement for the retired Paul Scholes, and they are ready to meet Inter's valuation of the midfielder.
Sneijder's personal demands could prove to be a stumbling block in the proposed transfer, but Goal.com previously reported that sportswear giants and Sneijder's sponsor Nike could step in to meet the shortfall between the 27-year-old's wishes and United's offer.
If United follow up the interest that was outlined in talks involving senior officials of the two clubs in Milan a fortnight ago, Goal.com understands that Inter will move for Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.
Inter sporting director Marco Branca recently spoke with Tevez on a beach in Sardinia, while the forward was spotted in Milan on occasion last season, but Paolillo refused to comment on whether the Coppa Italia holders have an interest in signing the Argentine.
He added: "We can't do anything about it when he comes to Milan or visits the same beaches as Branca. Nevertheless, we're not going there looking for him."
Manchester City are ready to cash in on Tevez following the attacker's transfer request earlier this summer, but have set an asking price of 56 million euros for the frontman.
