London: Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has become frustrated with a lack of opportunities at Stamford Bridge only half a month after arriving at the club, according to The Times.
The report claims that the former Bolton Wanderers centre-back was disappointed to be overlooked by Andre Villas-Boas for the Blues' game against Swansea City, where Branislav Ivanovic replaced the injured John Terry alongside David Luiz.
Cahill did not challenge the decision, and has not lodged any sort of complaint with Villas-Boas. His performances on the training pitch have become affected, though, according to an unnamed observer of a session on Wednesday, who said that it looked as if "his head has gone".
Having joined the Blues for 7 million Pounds, Cahill will be keen to impress England manager Fabio Capello in order to potentially earn a place in his country's starting XI for the European Championship in Poland and Ukraine in the summer.
