The midfielder has heaped praise upon Ancelotti and Capello.

New Delhi: Frank Lampard is delighted with the virtues that Fabio Capello, the England coach, and Carlo Ancelotti, the new Chelsea manager, have instilled in their respective teams.

While the goal-getting midfielder has acknowledged that each of the Italian tacticians has his own unique style, he stressed they share one vital trait between them.

"Most importantly they have the winning mentality," Lampard said in The Sun.

"That's why they have won big trophies in their careers. 'Must win' is the only way for them and they don't accept slacking off in games or training.

"You must give 100 per cent all of the time. They have different styles but are similar in their aims."

But the Chelsea superstar went on to say that the similarities between Capello and Ancelotti don't stop at their nationality and win-at-all-costs mindset.

"They like to work hard and press the opposition when they've got the ball. They prioritize defending well right through the team," he continued.

"Modern football is a lot about winning the ball back quickly and both managers train us to do that - it's a very Italian trait.

"One of the things we needed in English football was to learn the importance of being a difficult team to beat. That is the foundation stone and you build everything else on top."
