New Delhi: After scoring against Numancia on Saturday night, Raul Gonzalez now needs just one more goal to achieve sole leadership of the Real Madrid goals record.

Raul has equalled Alfredo Di Stefano's goalscoring record for Real Madrid, scoring his 307th goal against Numancia on Saturday night.

More than 14 years after scoring his first goal against Atletico Madrid on November 5, 1994, Raul reached the milestone with a predator's strike that embodied his style of play.

The goal was his 214th in the league, in 503 games. He has also scored 64 times in 123 Champions League matches, thus making him the highest scorer ever in that competition.

The rest of his goals are made up by 18 in 35 Copa del Rey games, seven in 12 Super Copa games, two in four Club World Cup games, one in four Cup Winner's Cup games and one in three Intercontinental Cup games.

Raul has been pichichi twice, and averages 20.7 goals per season. In his time at the club, Real Madrid have won three European cups and six league titles. In addition, he is the highest scorer in the history of the Spanish national team, having scored 44 goals in 102 games.

There are still more records in sight though, as he is only two goals away from equalling Di Stefano's record for league goals.
