Hitting back at Sardar Singh's claim that he never exploited anyone on the pretext of marriage, the India-origin hockey player from the UK now claims that she has evidence to prove that the India hockey captain, who the complainant alleges to be her fiance, is lying.
The girl, who has filed a police complaint of 'attempt to rape' against Sardar, told ETV on Thursday that he is putting himself in deep trouble by denying her claims and that she can support her complaint with proof.
"Whatever Sardar Singh has said in a press conference earlier today is false. I have proof to prove him wrong. Sardar is putting himself in trouble because of his lies," she said.
"I am confident that after seeing my proof and after police investigation everything will be clear that whatever I am saying is true," she added.
The girl, who lives in London, filed the complaint at the Kum Kalan police station in Ludhiana city on February 1, following which a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed by Ludhiana Police on Wednesday to verify the complaint before filing an FIR.
Earlier on Thursday, Sardar, who is in Chandigarh with Punjab Warriors for their Hockey India League match, refuted claims that he was engaged to the girl or ever took any advantage on the pretext of marriage.
"Allegations of sexual harassment are totally false. I will decide on future course of action after getting the report (police complaint)," Sardar told reporters.
