Tom Hiddleston To Say Goodbye To Loki Franchise After Season 2? Actor Drops Hint
In an interaction with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, Tom Hiddleston said that his character Loki from the franchise had come to a “full circle”, seemingly indicating that he will not be a part of the show anymore.

Loki season 2 starring Tom Hiddleston came to an end on November 9. The first season of the Michael Waldron creation was released in 2021. After gaining much popularity among Marvel fans, the series arrived with its second segment on October 5. The second installment of the much-loved franchise was a rollercoaster ride, infused with unexpected twists and turns. But along with the ending came a surprising revelation by Tom Hiddleston about his character Loki. In an interaction with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, Tom dropped a subtle indication that he might not return to the MCU series for another season.

“If you haven’t seen it, I will not spoil it for you but I will say this, it all comes full circle. It’s the conclusion of season two. It’s also the conclusion to seasons one and two. It’s also the conclusion to six films 12 episodes and 14 years of my life,” said Tom Hiddleston at the show. Calling it a 14-year-long journey, the 42-year-old continued that he was 29 when he was first cast as Loki in the 2011 film Thor. Tom added that according to him, the finale episode contained “every version of Loki” that he ever played in his life.

“If you remember in the first Avengers film, Loki comes down to Earth. Look straight at Sam Jackson. There’s Nick Fury and I say ‘I’m Loki of Asgard. I’m burdened with glorious purpose.’ And he’s arrogant and he’s hubristic and he’s entitled and is puffed up and he’s going to take over the world,” said Tom Hiddleston, as cited by Comicbook.

In Loki Season 2, the God of Mischief realised that by taking matters into his own hands he would be able to prevent the Temporal Loom from bursting and destroying the branched universe. Loki joins forces with Mobius aka Owen Wilson, as they try to keep the timelines intact. After his variant Sylvie aka Sophia Di Martino kills He Who Remains and the wrath of the Conqueror upon the Multiverse is unleashed, Loki embarks on a seemingly impossible adventure to stop the reality from collapsing.

After making a debut appearance in Thor, Tom Hiddleston has appeared in MCU films like The Avengers, Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. Although Tom Hiddleston has not directly hinted at his exit from the Loki franchise, the news has sent ripples among the masses.
