They pride themselves on their customer service, so getting in touch with them is actually really easy to do. Dial their customer service line to speak to a representative, or use the online form on their website to submit your questions, comments, or concerns. Another option is to write them an email or send them a letter to the customer service office.
Steps

Calling the Customer Service Line

Dial 1-800-356-9033 during business hours to speak to a representative. Use any telephone to dial the toll-free number without incurring any charges. Call from 7 a.m. CST to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, or 8 a.m. CST to 12 p.m. CST on Saturdays to reach a person. Have your account information handy to provide it to a customer service representative. The representative can look up your information if you don’t know or don’t have your account number. If you don’t have a John Deere account, you can still speak to a representative.Tip: If you call the service line when they’re not open, leave a message with your name and number and a representative will call you when they get back into the office.

Navigate the automated system for specific assistance. When you dial the number, you’ll be prompted to select from a list of menu options using the numbers on your phone. If you hear an option that relates to the issue, question, or concern that you have such as billing inquiries or finding a dealership near you, press the number that corresponds with that option. Choosing a specific menu option will allow the representative to be better able to assist you.

Select the option to speak with a representative or wait to be connected. If none of the automated menu options are relevant for you, or if you just want to speak to a customer service representative, select the number that corresponds with the option to speak to one, or simply wait. Your call will be transferred to a representative that will assist with about any problems, issues, or questions that you have. You may be placed on hold for a few minutes before you’re able to speak to a representative.

Using the Online Form

Go to https://www.deere.com/en/our-company/contact-us/. Open a web browser and type website URL into the search bar, or search for the John Deere contact page in a search engine. If you have a John Deere account, log into it by clicking on the “MyJohnDeere” option in the top right corner. Logging into your account if you have one will allow a customer service representative to have your information when you submit the form.

Search through the topics to see if your issue is listed there. Locate the list of topics related to different subjects and issues such as purchasing equipment and owner’s manuals. Look through the list to see if your issue, question, problem, or concern is included. If you find one that’s relevant, click on it to be brought to the related contact page. You will need to be logged into your John Deere account in order to select one of the topics.

Click on “General Questions” if you don’t see your issue listed. If you can’t find a topic that is relevant to you, pull up the expanded menu options by clicking on the plus sign (+) next to “General Questions.” Look through the menu options to see if any of the links pertain to an issue or problem that you’re having. You will need to be logged into your John Deere account in order to choose one of the other links in the drop down menu. Choosing a contact link that’s more specific to your issue will help you resolve it quicker. For instance, if you’re having a problem with charges and fees, choosing the “John Deer Financial” link to get assistance specific to that issue.

Select “Other inquiries and feedback” if you still don’t see a relevant link. If you don’t see a topic or contact link that’s relevant to you in the “General Questions” menu, scroll down to the bottom of the list, and select “Submit questions, comments, or feedback.” A new webpage will open and you’ll be redirected to the online contact form. You do not need to be logged into a John Deere account to access the online contact form under “Other inquiries and feedback.”

Fill out the form and submit it to John Deere. Fill out the form completely with your name, address, location, and email address so the customer service staff can contact you. In the list of problems and reasons for your contact, click on any of the boxes that apply to you. If you don’t see anything relevant to you listed, click the box next to “Other.” Write a detailed note in the “Comments/Feedback” box describing your reason for contacting them and then click the “Submit” button. Though many of the fields in the form are optional, filling out the form completely will help a customer service representative be able to better assist you.Tip: If you’ve already taken steps to try to resolve your problem, be sure to include that information in your message so you don’t receive duplicate advice or potential solutions.

Sending an Email or Letter

Send a detailed email to [email protected]. Open your email on your web browser or on your smartphone and explain your problem or issue in detail, including any steps you’ve already taken to try to resolve it. Include your account information, contact information, and request the customer service department to contact you. If you don’t receive any response after 48 hours, send a follow-up email asking for a response.Tip: To further expedite a response, include your account information, name, and a description of your message in the email subject line for easy reference. For example, you could write a subject line like, “Account #987654 - Jane Smith - Please Contact.”

Mail a letter to the corporate office if you live anywhere but Canada. Write a professional letter explaining who you are and why you’re writing the letter. Include your account information and additional contact information so the customer service department can reach you at the right place. If you live in the US or in another country, address the envelope to the main John Deere office. Be sure to state your preferred method of communication so they know where to reach you. Write a letter to the Canadian office if you live in Canada for local support. John Deere also maintains a customer service office in Canada, so send your letter there if you live in Canada for better assistance. Detail your issue, problem, or reason for writing them and include your account information, contact information, and preferred method of communication so they know how to follow up with you. John Deere has many franchises and dealers in Canada, and if you purchased your equipment from one of them, you’ll get better assistance by contacting the Canadian office.
