How to Find Free ATMs for Your Cash Card
How to Find Free ATMs for Your Cash Card
As a Cash Card owner, you can use your card from Cash App to withdraw money at any ATM. While Cash App does charge a $2.50 transaction fee, which is unavoidable, there are several in-network ATMs that will not charge a fee on top of the one charged by Cash App. Additionally, Cash Card offers ATM fee coverage for customers who receive $300 or more in paychecks directly deposited into their Cash App each month. Each subsequent qualifying deposit will then extend the period of ATM fee reimbursements by an additional 31 days.[1]

Of course, this workaround may not apply to everyone's financial situation. This wikiHow article includes a full rundown of where Cash Card owners can withdraw from ATMs for free.
Things You Should Know
  • Cash App charges a $2.50 transaction fee for all ATM withdrawals, but in-network ATMs will not charge a fee on top of that.
  • If you receive $300 or more per month in direct deposit funds, you will not be charged the $2.50 Cash App fee.
  • Use the ATM finder within Cash App to find all in-network ATMs near you, or use an ATM at a major bank, Allpont, or Pulse location.

Which ATMs are free for Cash Card?

You can withdraw Cash App funds for free at most commercial banks in the US. Cash Card users can avoid ATM fees at an ATM located in any US commercial bank that has consolidated assets of at least $300 million. This includes major banks like Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and US Bank. To see a list of all qualifying banks, visit https://www.federalreserve.gov/releases/lbr/current.

Seek in-network ATMs. In addition to banks, large ATM networks like Allpoint and PULSE guarantee a surcharge-free experience for all Cash Card owners. These ATMs tend to be located at gas stations or convenience stores. Use this tool to find an Allpoint ATM near you. Use this tool to find a PULSE ATM near you.

Remember: Cash App still charges a $2.50 transaction fee for withdrawals. While the ATMs we've listed won't charge an additional fee, you'll still have to pay this fee to Cash App. The exception is if you receive at least $300 per month in direct deposit funds, such as from your paycheck.

Find a Free ATM Near You

Use the Cash App ATM finder. To find the nearest fee-free ATM, tap the Cash Card tab within Cash App and select Find an ATM. Use the onscreen map to find an in-network ATM near you or enter an address to find one elsewhere. Tap the icon for the ATM on the map to see its details, including hours and address. Press and hold the address to open it in your navigation app. You may need to grant Cash App location permission if you have not already.

What's your reaction?
