This wikiHow teaches you how to link to a user on Reddit using the official Reddit app for iPhone and iPad. This creates a clickable link to the user's profile as well as notifies the user that they were mentioned in a comment or post.
Open the Reddit app. It's the orange app with a white cartoon alien in the center. If you don't have the Reddit app you can download it from the App Store and sign in with your Reddit username and password.
Start a new text post or comment. Tap the speech bubble icon below the post you want to comment on and then tap the reply button, or to start a new text post, simply tap Post something interesting and select Text from the menu.
Type /u/ followed the person's username. For example, if you wanted to link to a user named "RandomUsername" you would type /u/RandomUsername in your text.
Tap Post or Send. It's in the upper-right corner. This posts your text on Reddit with a clickable link to the user's profile.
