Preheat the oven to 400°F/200°C.
Line an ungreased cookie sheet with the French baguette slices. Use a glazing brush to brush the bread with a thin layer of oil.
Place in the oven for 3-5 minutes or light brown in color.
Combine the crab meat, pimientos, cheeses, cream cheese, and pepper sauce in a medium bowl.
Use about a tablespoon of the crab mixture on each bread slice. Spread evenly with a knife.
Bake the bread slices again for about 5 minutes. The cheese should be melted and the filling hot.
Sprinkle each slice with chives.
