How to Search for Players on Clash of Clans

Do you want to find your friends on Clash of Clans? Supercell has made it a lot easier to search for friends on Clash of Clans. Now you can search for a player's tag using the player search feature. You can also find players by connecting your Supercell ID, GameCenter ID on iPhone and iPad. You can add as many as 100 friends (300 using your Supercell ID). This wikiHow article teaches you how to find players in Clash of Clans.

Things You Should Know

To find friends, tap the blue star icon Then tap the "Social" tab, followed by "Search Players." Enter a player's tag in the search bar and tap "Search."
To connect your Supercell ID, tap the Settings icon and tap "Disconnected" next "Supercell ID." Log in with your Supercell account or register for a new one.
If you log into Game Center on iPhone and iPad, you can find your Game Center friends under the Social tab in your player profile.
Clash of Clans no longer allows you to connect your Facebook account and play with your Facebook friends.

Searching for a Player'sTag

Open Clash of Clans. The Clash of Clans icon has an image that resembles a blond viking. Tap the Clash of Clans logo in your Apps menu or Home screen to launch Clash of Clans. You can download Clash of Clans for free using the App Store on iPhone or iPad, or the Google Play Store on Android.

Tap the blue star icon. It's the blue icon in the upper-left corner. It has your current level number in the middle. This displays the profile menu.

Tap the Social tab. It's the third tab at the top of the screen.

Tap Search Players. It's the third tab at the top of the screen. This displays a search bar.

Enter the player's tag in the search bar. A player's tag is not the same as their username. The player's tag is the 9-digit alphanumeric number after the "#" sign in their profile. If you are the friend you are searching for does not know their tag, you can find it by tapping the blue star icon with your current level. Then tap the My Profile tab. Your tag is listed below your username in the upper-left corner next to the "#" symbol. If you want to search for a player by their username, you can use this tool to search for players by name. Enter their username in the search bar. This will display all users with that username along with their tag.

Tap Search. It's the green button next to the search bar. This will display that player's profile. Tap Add Friend on their profile to add them as a friend. You can add 100 friends on Clash of Clans.

Using Game Center

Log in to Game Center on your device. Game Center is a free service that is offered to iPhone and iPad users. If you are using an iPhone or iPad, use the following steps to log in to your Game Center account: Open the Settings menu. Tap Game Center Tap the toggle switch to turn Game Center on. Login with your Apple ID. Tap your nickname (optional). Enter a nickname (optional).

Open Clash of Clans. Clash of Clans has an icon with an image that resembles a blond Viking. Tap the Clash of Clans icon on your Home screen to open Clash of Clans. Clash of Clans will automatically be linked to your Game Center account. You can download Clash of Clans for free using the App Store on iPhone or iPad.

Using Your Supercell ID

Tap the Settings icon. It's the icon that resembles three gears on the right side of the screen.

Tap Disconnected next to Supercell ID. It's the red button at the top of the screen. This opens the Supercell ID login screen.

Tap Log In or Register Now. If you already have a Supercell ID, tap the blue button that says Log In. If you have not registered a Supercell ID, tap the blue text that says Register Now below the blue button.

Enter your email address and tap Register or Log In. If you already have a Supercell ID, enter the email address associated with your Supercell ID and tap Log In. If you do not have a Supercell ID, tap Continue and then enter the email address you'd like to use for your Supercell ID twice. Then tap Register.

Enter the confirmation code and tap Submit. Whether you are registering a new account or logging in with an existing one, a confirmation code will be sent to your email. Open your email and retrieve the 6-digit confirmation code. Enter the 6-digit confirmation code and tap submit. Your Clash of Clans profile is now linked to your Supercell ID.
