Want to play CS Extreme v6 but you get an error "ERROR 5899 - Metadata file missing or damaged [-1]"? Here's how you solve it!
This is the picture of the error.
Find and enter the location where you have installed CS Xtreme v6. If you are using windows then it would be something like C:\Program files\Counter.....(depending on the version)
Locate and try to run hl.exe or Half-Life. This depends from which one Half-Life works on your PC.
Once In Half-Life, go to Options --> Video --> Renderer Tab and select OpenGL. Click on Apply.
The game will restart. Then quit Half-Life.
Now try to run CS Xtreme v6.
Click on any one mode (for trial, put the normal mode).
The game will successfully run now.
