Unlocking Epic Brawlers
You can unlock Epic Brawlers on the Starr Road. The Starr Road is located below the "Brawlers" menu on the main title screen. Use credits to unlock brawlers. You can earn credits through Trophy Road or the Brawl Pass.
Mandy
Mandy is an A-tier, long-range sniper. Mandy can sit back and pick enemies off from a distance. She has a focus bar that increases her attack range when she doesn’t move. When fully charged, she gains a shield that reduces damage by 40%. This is useful because her main weakness is that she has low health. Main Attack: Candy Dispenser: Her main attack is to shoot candy from her candy dispenser that travels very fast. Super: Sugar Ray. Sugar Ray is one of the longest ranged attacks in the game. It sends out a blast that does very high damage, pierces enemies, and travels through obstacles. Gadgets: Caramelize: Mandy’s next attack will slow enemies for 2.5 seconds. Cookie Crumbs: Mandy’s next attack will pass through walls and enemies. Hypercharge: Sugar for All!: For Mandy’s hypercharge, she shoots three Sugar Ray projectiles in different directions. Star Power: In My Sights: Mandy’s projectile speed increases as her focus bar increases when she doesn’t move. However, this is reset when she moves. Hard Candy: When Mandy’s focus bar is completely charged, she gains a shield that reduces damage by 40%. However, this is reset when she moves.
Edgar
Edgar is a fast melee character with high burst damage. He has a very fast movement speed and a fast reload speed. He can also heal slightly with each hit of his main attack. However, he needs to fight at close range and is vulnerable to knock-back attacks: Edgar is best at hiding in the bushes and taking out enemies or groups of enemies that have low health or have used up all their specials. Main Attack: Fight Club: Edgar throws out a one-two punch from his scarf that heals him 35% of the damage dealt. His attack has a short 0.4-second cooldown period. Super: Vault: Edgar jumps over obstacles and lands where the super was aimed. He gains a 200-point speed boost upon landing for 2.5 seconds. Gadgets: Let’s Fly: Edgar’s super charges 525% faster over 4 seconds. Hardcore: Edgar gets a shield that protects him from 50% of his maximum health. The shield health decays by 5% every 3.5 seconds as well as with each hit it takes. Hypercharge: Outburst: When activated after using his super, his super charge rate and reload speed are doubled. He also gains a 15% damage and shield boost, and a 24% speed increase Star Powers: Hard Landing: Edgar deals 1350 damage to nearby enemies when landing from his super. Fisticuffs: Edgar receives 25% more healing per punch.
Emz
Emz is a medium-range D-tier, medium-range brawler that’s hard to dodge. Her main attack covers a wide area that does more damage the longer enemies are in the clouds of hairspray. However, she has a slow reload speed. She can use her gadgets and hypercharge to knock back enemies that get too close. Main Attack: Spray: Emz sprays a cloud of hairspray that pierces all enemies and lingers. The longer enemies are in the cloud, the more damage they take. Enemies in the center receive the most damage. Super: Caustic Charisma: This creates a temporary cloud burst that slows down nearby enemies by 350 points and does damage every second they are in the radius. Gadgets: Friendzoner: Friendzoner pushes all nearby enemies back and deals damage. This can be used to fend off close-range attacks or create a window of escape. Acid Spray: This allows her next attack to pass through walls, but deal 10% less damage. Hypercharge: Overhyped Haze: This allows her next to super to push all enemies to the edge of her super range. Next, it launches a wave of cloud attacks that deal 241 damage each. Star Powers: Bad Karma: This increases her attack damage by 25%. Hype: This allows Emz's Super to heal 8% of her maximum health for each second that every enemy is damaged.
Trunk
Trunk is a B-tier, close-range, tank brawler. Trunk has high health and high movement speed, but fights at fairly close range. His attacks work best at attacking multiple enemies at once. However, it can be tricky getting in position to do this without putting him at risk. There is also a slight delay before each attack. Main Attack: Ant Attack!: Trunk spins and damages all enemies within a radius (even behind walls). No aiming is necessary (though it can be useful to see the attack range). Enemies on the edge of the radius are damaged more. Immediately after the attack, Trunk leaves an area of ants that lasts 20 seconds. Standing in the ants gives Trunk a 20% movement speed boost and a 30% damage boost. Super: Driven by Revenge (and Ants): Trunk dashes forward, leaving a trail of ants that act the same as the main attack. Trunk can bounce off walls with his super and dash over water. If an enemy is hit, they will be slowed and receive damage every 0.5 seconds. Gadgets: For the Queen!: Trunk immediately spawns an area of ants 70% larger than his main attack. Though the ants act identically to that of his main attack. Worker Ants: Trunk gains a shield that lasts for 2 seconds. If attacked while the shield is active, he will heal the amount of damage the attack delivers. Hypercharge: Retread: Trunk's next super will leave behind a trail of ants that do damage over time, but enemies hit by his super will only receive damage on impact, and not receive damage over time. Trunk also gains a 25% speed boost, 15% damage boost, and 10% damage boost. Star Powers: New Insect Overlords: Trunk’s ants also apply a 15% damage debuff to affected enemies. Colony Scouts: Trunk’s ants can reveal enemies hiding in bushes and invisible enemies.
Piper
Piper is an A-tier, long-range sniper. Piper has an extremely long-range attack that does more damage the further it travels. This makes Piper most effective at a distance. However, she has a very slow reload speed and low health. If enemies get too close, she can knock them back with her super and fire a defensive shot with her gadgets. Main Attack: Gunbrella: Piper fires a bullet from her umbrella that travels very quickly and does more damage the further it travels. Super: Poppin': Piper jumps into the air and drops four grenades that deal heavy damage and knock enemies back. Gadgets: Auto Aimer: Piper auto-aims and fires a defensive shot at the nearest enemy. Homemade Recipe: Piper's next attack will fire a homing bullet that curves towards the nearest enemy and travels a little further than her main attack. It also deals 25% more minimum damage. Hypercharge: Boppin': Piper’s super drops six grenades instead of four, and she stays in the air longer. She also knocks back enemies and destroys the environment when she lands. Additionally, she gains a 25% speed boost, 25% damage boost, and 5% shield boost. Star Powers: Ambush: Piper’s main attack does 35% more damage when she is hidden in a bush. Snappy Sniping: Piper automatically reloads 0.4 ammo when she hits an enemy, and her reload speed is increased.
Pearl
Pearl has C-tier long-range with variable damage output. Pearl may be one of the more overpowered brawlers. Her heat bar charges over time, which allows her to do more damage. Wait for the heat bar to charge before rushing into battle. Her main attack is useful for hitting multiple enemies or an enemy at close range. However, it can be difficult to hit a single enemy at a distance. Main Attack: Hot Cookies: Pearl fires a volley of 6 cookies in a spread formation. Super: Let Out Some Steam: Pearl releases a shockwave of heat that deals major damage, knocks back enemies, and destroys cover. Gadgets: Overcooked: Pearl’s next attack deals additional heat damage over 4 seconds. Made With Love: Pearl’s next attack heals allies. Hypercharge: Pyrolitic: Pearl’s super creates a burning area on the ground that does 800 points of damage and lasts 4.5 seconds. It can hit an enemy up to 5 times. Pearl also gains a 25% speed boost, 25% damage boost, and 5% shield boost. Star Powers: Heat Retention: Pearl’s heat reduction is reduced by 50% when she uses her super. Heat Shield: When Pearl’s heat bar is over 80%, she receives 20% less damage.
Gale
Gale is a D-tier, long-range brawler with moderate health. His main attack fires 6 snowballs in a line that do low damage, but the spread is too wide to hit an enemy with all 6 projectiles, even at close range. However, Gale has a very high reload speed. If enemies get too close, he can push them back with his super and gadgets. His gadgets can also provide tactical advantages to his allies. Main Attack: Polar Vortex: Gale fires 6 long-range snowballs that travel in a straight, wide line. Super: Gale Force!: Gale launches a long-range gust of wind that travels through walls and deals slight damage while pushing enemies back. Gadgets: Spring Ejector: Gale drops a springboard under him that launches him in the direction he is facing. The springboard stays on the ground, allowing allies (and enemies) to use it as well. This is useful for reaching objectives more quickly. The springboard disappears after a goal is scored. Twister: Gale creates a small tornado that pushes enemies back and prevents them from passing through. It lasts for 5 seconds. This is useful for blocking choke points. Hypercharge: Blizzard: Gale’s super radius is wider, and it creates two additional wind gusts. Gale also gains a 26% speed boost, 15% damage boost, and 15% shield boost. Star Powers: Blustery Blow: Gale’s super stuns enemies for 1.25 seconds. Freezing Snow: Gale’s main attack slows enemies for 0.5 seconds.
Meeple
Meeple is a D-tier long-range fighter with homing capabilities. The homing capability is useful for hitting enemies slightly behind a barrier or hiding in bushes. His super and gadgets can also temporarily remove obstacles and allow allies to pass. Main Attack: Boomhaven: Meeple launches a long-range Chess pawn that has a slight homing capability. Super: Critical Success: Meeple throws a d-20 die, which creates an area that allows him and his allies to pass through and shoot through walls. Gadgets: Mansions of Meeple: Meeple creates a wall of dice around an enemy, trapping them for 4 seconds and dealing damage. It can also be used to block enemies. Ragequit: Meeple creates a shockwave around him that knocks back and stuns enemies. The shockwave is also capable of traveling through walls. Hypercharge: Currently, Meeple does not have a hypercharge, but there are rumors that one could be added with a future update. Star Powers: Do Not Pass Go: When Meeple shoots through walls, his damage is increased by 600. His super charge is also increased. Rule Bending: When Meeple and his allies are inside his super, their reload speed is increased by 20%.
Larry & Lawrie
Larry & Lawrie are a B-tier medium-range team brawler. The main character you play as is Larry. He has fast movement speed. His main attack creates two explosions that have the potential to hit an enemy twice. However, he has a slow reload speed. He also has low health. Larry can summon his brother Lawrie, who has a unique set of skills of his own. Main Attack: Ticket Dispenser: Larry tosses a bundle of tickets that explode twice, once in a smaller radius and then again in a larger radius. Super: Call For Backup: Larry summons his twin brother Lawrie, who chases enemies (even in bushes) and fires two waves of electric plugs. The first wave first 3 waves fire 3 plugs, and the second wave fires 5 plugs, all in a cone formation. Gadgets: Order: Swap: This allows the twins to swap weapons. This will remain in effect until one twin dies or another gadget is used. Order: Fall Back: Larry and Lawrie dash to switch places and heal 25% of the maximum health. Hypercharge: Currently, Larry & Lawrie do not have a hypercharge. However, one may be added in a future update. Star Powers: Protocol: Protect: Lawrie absorbs 30% of the damage Larry takes when he is near. Protocol: Assist: Larry reloads 30% of his ammo when Lawrie hits an enemy while near Larry.
Colette
Colette is a C-tier long-range brawler. Both her main attack and her super do variable damage depending on how much health the enemy has. Both her main attack and super are effective against high-health enemies but less effective against low-health enemies. Main Attack: Taxing Shot: Colette’s main attack is a long-range heart-shaped projectile that deals 37% of the enemy's current health with a minimum of 1000 damage. Super: Time To Collect: Colette dashes forward and then immediately dashes back to her return position. This deals 20% damage on both the forward and return dash. Gadgets: Na-ah!: Colette’s next attack deals an additional 150% damage. Gotcha!: Colette heals 80% of the damage her attacks do. This also increases the damage she deals to special targets by 20%. Hypercharge: Teen Spirit: Colette’s spirit follows her for both dashes during her super. She also gains a 25% speed boost, a 26% damage boost, and a 5% shield boost. Star Powers: Push It: Colette drags enemies she hits with her super, potentially hitting enemies dragged to the furthest range twice. Mass Tax: Colette gains a shield that reduces damage by 20% when she uses her super. Damage reduction increases by 10% with each enemy she hits. The shield lasts 5 seconds.
