The internet is buzzing with a video featuring Zomato executive Syed Farooq delivering food on a horse in Hyderabad. The video has captivated viewers who watched in sheer amazement. Local 18 Telugu sought to learn more about Farooq and, after obtaining his address, got in touch with him. Farooq revealed that due to his poor economic condition, Majlis Bachao Tehreek, a Telangana-based political party, reached out to him and provided financial assistance of Rs 10,000.
Farooq explained that the decision to use a horse was prompted by the truck drivers’ protests against the new hit-and-run law. He narrated his struggle to find petrol for his bike, waiting for three hours in a queue at a petrol pump without success. Faced with this challenge, Farooq decided to use his brother’s horse for the food deliveries. The video of Farooq has gained considerable attention online, with viewers appreciating his dedication to his job.
Some users speculated whether the video was a PR technique employed by Zomato.
