The much-anticipated Guntur Kaaram, featuring Mahesh Babu in the lead role, will hit the silver screen on Sankranthi next year. The film will mark another collaboration between Mahesh Babu and director Srinivas after their previous outings, including Athadu and Khaleja. Recently, the makers unveiled the promo of the first single from Guntur Kaaram. The song, titled Dum Masala, will be dropped on YouTube on November 7. Ahead of its release, the teaser has already been declared a hit among the masses.
The foot-tapping music in the teaser raised the curiosity of Mahesh Babu fans for the song. It was shared by the actor himself on his Instagram handle as he wrote, “#DumMasala coming to you soon! (fire emoji) #GunturKaaramOnJan12th.” The promo starts with mortar and pestle with chillies being grounded followed by a silhouette of Mahesh Babu getting down from a jeep. It ends with the lead actor smoking a cigarette and he looks dapper in the stylish avatar.
The promo was also released on YouTube and has been trending ever since it was dropped. The intriguing teaser prompted many to rush towards the comment section and share their opinions on the glimpse of the song. A fan wrote, “There are no words to praise your acting skills Mahesh Babu, sir.” Another commented, “On behalf of all darling fans in the world, we wish this movie to be a huge success.” Meanwhile, a third praised saying, “Goosebumps in music and bgm.”
The songs of the film are composed by S Thaman, who previously worked with both director Trivikram and Mahesh Babu in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and Sarkaru Vaari Paata respectively. Speaking of the single Dum Masala, it has been crooned by Sanjith Hegde and Thaman together. The lyrics are penned by ‘Saraswati Putra’ Ramajogayya Sastry.
Earlier, the film faced casting issues after the leading lady Pooja Hegde backed out of the project led Sreeleela to replace her while her role as second lead was taken up by Meenakshii Chaudhary.
