2G case: CBI to file status report in SC today

New Delhi: The Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) are expected to file a reply in the Supreme Court in the 2G spectrum case on Friday.

The report is in response to a charge that both agencies are going soft on accused companies Essar and Loop Telecom and their promoters.

Neither the CBI nor the ED has slapped corruption charges on them.
