4 persons involved in 'flesh trade' try to abduct minor girl; arrested

A 13-year-old girl was rescued and four persons including two women were arrested for allegedly trying to kidnap her, the police said. Those arrested were suspected to be involved in flesh trade, the police said.

The girl knew Shahnaz alias Sanno, one of the accused, who allegedly asked her to accompany her to Sanawad and later to Khargone, where Sanno said she was going to meet her brother. But the girl's mother became suspicious. When she left on Tuesday night, her family members followed her, and seeing that she had got into an auto-rickshaw with two women and three men, they gave them a chase, stopped the rickshaw, and handed the accused to police.

Those arrested were identified as Shahnaz Bi, Sanno, Zuber and Zulfikar. Further probe is on.
