India were bowled out for 171 in their 2nd innings of the fourth Test of the series to set a target of 269 runs for WI.

New Delhi: India were bowled out for 171 in their second innings of the fourth and final Test of the series at Kingston to set a target of 269 runs for West Indies.

S Sreesanth struck an early blow when he had opener Chris Gayle caught by VVS Laxman at second slip for nought as India pushed for a series clinching victory.

Dravid brought in Harbhajan Singh, who had taken five wickets in the first innings, in the sixth over.

Windies were 18 for one in their second innings at lunch on the third day.

The visitors had finished the second day at 128 for six after bundling out the Windies for just 103 in their first innings.

India had scored 200 in their first innings and had gone into their second innings with a lead of 97 runs.

But the target can prove to be a match winning one as no team has ever chased more than 212 to win a game in the fourth innings at the Sabina Park ground.

Though the pitch seemed to have eased a bit but the Indian bowlers led by their spinning duo of Harbhajan Singh and Anil Kumble could prove to be more than a match for the Windies, who lack players comfortable against spin.

When the third day began Indian skipper Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble were at the crease.

However, Corey Collymore and Jerome Taylor made sure that the visitors would not be able to set a huge target picking up the remaining Indian wickets quickly.

Collymore was the most successful bowler for the hosts' picking up five wickets giving away only 48 runs off his 24.1 overs while Taylor accounted for four Indian batsmen.

Just like the first innings Dravid top scored for India with a patient 68 that included 12 hits to the boundary.
