5 more cases of dengue reported

BHUBANESWAR: At least five cases of dengue positive were reported from blood samples tested at the Capital Hospital here on Wednesday.   Although it was not immediately known where the patients belonged, the State Disease Surveillance Cell said most of them were from Angul. On the day, 44 positive cases were reported, 39 of which were detected at SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack. As many as 18 cases came in from Angul, the epicentre of the outbreak. Till Wednesday, 736 samples have been found positive out of 1,701 samples which were put to test. With 346 cases, Angul is at the top. The disease has so far claimed 20 lives.
