6 more companies depose before CBI

HYDERABAD: Responding to the CBI notices,  representatives of some more companies, which had invested in the various firms owned by YSR Congress chief and Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, on Tuesday  deposed before the CBI here.The representatives, who appeared before the CBI joint director V V Lakshminarayana, include Jubilee Media Services, Lasco, Jagathi publication, PVP Publications, Emaar and Penna  cements. The respondents said they shared the information sought by the CBI officials and answered the queries posed by  them.Meanwhile, BJP state unit on Tuesday stressed upon the need to extend the scope of CBI probe into the allegations of misuse of the state machinery during the tenure of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, to favour the firms owned by his son Jagan Mohan Reddy.There was a need to extend purview of the CBI probe as major government departments like irrigation, finance and industries have acted under pressure to provide benefits illegally to some firms owned by Jagan, state BJP spokesperson, NVSS Prabhakar, told reporters here on Tuesday.
